Martha Rea Calkins is President of American Eastern and has held this position for the last 10 years. She graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 1975.
In 1996, Martha switched career paths from the telecommunications industry and served 4 years as Vice President of Business Development for American Eastern. Recognizing her untiring desire to excel, the Board of Directors at American Eastern elected her President of the company in 2000. She is actively involved in charitable and civic activities in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region and has memberships of many professional organizations. She recently steered the company to achieve LEED certification. She is a member of the Charlotte Women of Faith and is active in charity and community service. |

Mic Easton |
Mic Easton is a Senoir Project Manager at American Eastern. Mic holds a Bachelor of Science in Project Management from Winthrop University. Mic has a wealth of many years of construction experience with companies such as Eastern Contracting, Potter Construction Services, Colorworks Construction and Development and Dammann Construction. His skills range from complete cost accountability, estimation, proposals, contracts and audits to site management, sub-contractor and compliance management. From 1993 - 1997 he was the founder and owner of BitStack Technology Incubation which provided commercial development for technology office space. BitStack Technology also converted surplus office space into cost centers for various commercial entities, and was responsible for design, outfitting, leasing administration and staffing. Prior to that he was an account executive with one of the country's leading advertising agencies, Grey Advertising in New York City. In both 2001 & 2003 he was awarded the Association of the Preservation of Virginia's Antiquities Award. While with Dammann Construction he was responsible for compliance with respect to the Virgina Board of Historic Architectural Review.
